Building a useful product enquiry

What to include when asking about a research catalog item, its specification and availability.

Identify the item

Include the full name, reference size and SKU. When a family has multiple sizes, the compound name alone may not identify the requested entry. For a blend or stack, state the format as well.

State the quantity clearly

Distinguish the number of vials or sets from the amount listed for each one. A request for ten vials is different from a request for a single 10 mg vial. Write both fields explicitly.

Ask about documentation

Request the current product specification and batch-specific documentation. Clarify which details are confirmed and which are still pending, including the exact component breakdown for a combination.

Confirm the commercial details

Ask for a dated quotation, availability and shipping information. A price-on-request listing is an invitation to clarify those details, not an assertion that stock has been confirmed.

Keep the conversation together

Use the product enquiry button on a detail page. After signing in, the subject will identify the selected item. Responses are available in your account so the enquiry and its reply remain connected.
